Jimly Asshiddiqie Personal Website

Jimly Asshiddiqie (born in Jakarta 17 April 1956) is Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia 2003-2006. He achieved a degree of law from the University of Indonesia in 1982, and completed the education level of S2 in the same university in 1987.

Jimly got achievment of the doctorate from the University of Indonesia in 1990. In 2000, holds a degree Jimly full professor of jurisprudence governing the state of UI as well served as the Chairman of The Open Science Graduate of the Law of the State FHUI.

Before occupying the position as Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Jimly elected to the bench by the House of Representatives Constitution. Jimly  elected as the first Chairman of the Constitutional Court (2003-2006) on 19 August 2003. Jimly, then selected again for the second period of its election on the Chairman of the Constitutional Court 2006-2009
